Mark Speed

Mark Speed, 66, left this life on Sept. 10, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Union City, with Bro. Ben Lownsdale officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at White-Ranson Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. and again on Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Speed, Colton Speed, Cody Speed, Denver Whitby, Cannon Whitby, Jacob Cross and Josh Prather. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Speed, Johnny Prather, Wendell Cross, Union City High School Teammates and Friends and Woodland Ag Friends and Employees.
Mark was born on Feb. 18, 1959, to the late Wayne and Ophelia Speed. Mark was a lifelong sports enthusiast, avid outdoorsman and businessman. He owned and operated Woodland Ag Co. and enjoyed working with his crew and his customers. Mark was known for his sense of humor, and always had a story to tell.
He was a hardworking and dedicated father and strong in his faith.
Mark is survived by his wife, Tammy Speed; his sons, Caleb Speed of Union City, Colton Speed of Nashville and Cody Speed of Nashville; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Robbie Speed of Union City; and his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Wendell Cross of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
