Hannah Smith
After a long life Hannah Huffstutter Smith died Aug. 6, 2025, at the age of 103.
She was a former resident of Hornbeak. Hannah was born Nov. 10, 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemmie Smith; nine siblings and their spouses; and her husband’s siblings and their spouses.
She is survived by two daughters, Marlyn Ainsworth (Art) of Knoxville and Linda Adams (late Robert) of Searcy, Ark.; four granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. Hannah lived her life based on three things that she held dear — God, family and friends. She fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith and has now received her reward. Hannah was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Kevin Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Matt Aytes, Caleb Aytes, Steven Chaney, Josh Daigle, Steve Smith and Ray Huffstutter.
