TO THE RESCUE

TO THE RESCUE — Flanked by a new side-by-side and a new rescue boat, Rives Fire Chief Campbell Rice (far right) listened Monday as Gary Sinise Foundation first responder connections coordinator Sara Beery (third from left) addressed those attending a dedication for the two new pieces of equipment purchased for the Rives Volunteer Fire Department with a generous grant from the foundation. She was joined at the fire station by two co-workers for the event, also attended by several local fire chiefs and some fire personnel and elected officials. The purchases of the much-needed Excel boat, with a 40-horsepower Mud Buddy motor and trailer, and the Polaris four-wheel drive UTV were made locally at Interstate 69 Motorsports and Interstate 69 Marine in Union City.
