Kathryn Capps
Kathryn “Snookie” Capps, a resident of Fulton Nursing and Rehab, formerly of Union City, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.
She was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Union City and was the daughter of Merye Kathryn Perry, R. B. Perry and Raymond Edward Pewitt.
She was a 1956 graduate of Union City High School. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, her beloved pets, enjoyed crafting, music, crocheting and adult coloring books. Before her retirement, she worked retail, at businesses including Big K in Union City and Super D in Hendersonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.B. and Merye Kathryn Perry and Raymond Pewitt; her husband, Harold (Buddy) Capps; her sisters, Judy King, and Elaine Perry; and her grandson, R.J. Lugten.
She is survived by her children, Jon Fuzzell of Union City, David (Benita) Fuzzell of South Fulton, Joe (Donna) Fuzzell of Bells and Leigh Ann (Bobby) Lugten of Hendersonville; stepbrother, Jim Perry of Buchanan; grandchildren, Lashonda (Chad) Cook of Martin, Crystal (Jay) Fox of Hornbeak, Heidi (Jim) Bennett of Union City, Bradi (Richie) Collins of Union City, Joey (Brittany) Fuzzell of Columbia, La., Jon David (Bentlee) Fuzzell of Jackson, Wes (Jennifer) Lugten of Portland, Tenn., and Kacy Greer of Franklin; four stepchildren, Bobbye Jean Miller, Belinda Cultra, Tammy Weaver and Buster Capps, all of Union City.; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held today, March 31, at 2 p.m. at Eastview Cemetery in Union City. Visitation was held at White-Ranson Funeral Home from noon-1:30 p.m today.
