Billy Albright
Billy Joe Albright (formerly of Obion), age 77, of Midlothian, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, as a result of a long battle with dementia.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m. Pastor Phillip Senn will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Robert Albright, Roy Albright, Wayne Lanier, Eric LaPorte, Ricky Albright, Jacob Rygula, Jamie Albright and Chase Rygula.
Bill was born July 30, 1947, the son of the late Jesse Wells Albright and Dollie Larson. He served in the United States Army and was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Evelyn) and Roy (Suzy) of Obion; his dearest friend, Sally Marusarz; children, Jessica Albright Rygula (Stanley) of Midlothian, Ill., Jason Albright (Youngsuk) of Fairfax, Va., Jill Shank (Rob), Sandra Majestic, David Majestic (Patricia), Laurie (Joe) LaPorte, Kathy Farris (Robert), Ivan Majestic (Mary) and Bonnie-Majestic-Trobe (Steven); and 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Louise Corbiel; and sister, Peggy Sue Daniel.
