Mrs. Leslie Ann McCarter, 45, of Union City died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at her home.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, from noon until 4 p.m. at Casey-Johnson Community Center, 1020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City.
McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1980, in Union City to Shelia Williams. After graduating from Union City High School in 1998, she attended Lane College before dedicating her life as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. Her proudest and most note-worthy achievement was being a devoted mother and a loving wife.
Leslie leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband of 19 years, Tom McCarter; her only son, Chi Williams; her mother, Shelia Williams; and sisters, Shari King, Rudy Avent and Samanatha Taylor. Also left to cherish her memories is an extensive network of additional aunts, uncles, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her adoptive parents, Larry and Esther Lee Brown; her grandmother, Versie Williams; and her dear friend, Shelia Bass preceded her in death.
To know Leslie was to love her. Her no-nonsense tell it like it is attitude and enigmatic sense of humor will be missed by all.
