Laura DeFreece
Ms. Laura DeFreece born on April 9, 1924, to the late Terence and Myra Isbell Carman, passed away at Obion County Nursing Home in Union City on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025.
She was a member of Good Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, an excellent seamstress and loved writing poems.
Ms. Laura DeFreece is survived by three grandsons, Ricky Morrison, Dr. Louis Morrison and James DeFreece; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin F. DeFreece; one son, Terry DeFreece; and one brother, James Harris Carman.
Graveside services for Ms. Laura DeFreece were held at Obion County Memorial Gardens, Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at 1 p.m. There was no visitation at the funeral home.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
