Sam Stockton

Samuel “Sam” Wayne Stockton, 80, of Martin passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday at New Home Baptist Church in Martin. He was a 1962 graduate of Washburn High School in Topeka, Kansas. He was a veteran of U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka and Union City and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, KU Jayhawks and Tennessee Volunteers. Mr. Stockton is survived by his wife, Linda Linhart Stockton of Martin; two sons, Jeff (Allison) Stockton of Martin and Stephen (Shelia) Stockton of Navarre, Florida; three grandchildren, Joshua Judson of Navarre, Avery and Landry Stockton, both of Martin; one brother, Bill Stockton of Dothan, Alabama; and one sister, Vicki Cunningham of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Wayne Stockton and Helen Angus Claudell Stockton; one brother-in-law, Tom Cunningham; and one sister-in-law, Pam Stockton.
