Rodney Parker
Rodney Lynn Parker, 64, of Martin passed away 11:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at his home.
A Celebration of Life service will be held noon Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. John Lowrance will officiate. Burial will be held at Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray, Ky., at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024.
Rodney was born June 11, 1960, in Murray, Ky., son of the late Dr. Rev. Charles Lynn Parker and the late Darrylin (Treas) Parker. He was a 1978 graduate of Obion County Central High School, where he played football and was a member of the FFA. Rodney was a truck driver and of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Shonna Rachelle (Parker) Tart and husband, Dustin, of Beech Bluff; one son, Daryl Lynn Parker of Buchanan; four grandchildren, Bradlee Lynn Parker, Eli Douglas Parker, Oliver Lane Tart and Vera-Kaye Louise Tart; and two brothers, Terry Daryl Parker and wife, Karen, of Newbern and Hugh Edward Parker and wife, Donnie, of Kenton.
