Roy Harper

Roy Daniel Harper 94 of Dresden, passed away Friday November 22, 2024 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday November 26, 2024 at 2 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home., Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm. Mr. Harper was born May 17, 1930 in Dresden, TN to the late Robert and Dula Gatewood Harper. He was retired from the United States Air Force and was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge in South Carolina. He was also a member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church. He is survived by daughters Diann (Larry) Weathers and Linda (Mike Hatchel), daughter in law Kathie Harper, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Besides is parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Fusae, a son Dan Harper, a brother Ray Harper, and a grandson Bradley Hatchel. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers and gifts, all donations be made to the Dresden First United Methodist Church building fund.
