Lawrence Holly Jr.
Lawrence Coleman Holly Jr., 75, of Troy passed away 5:42 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted 3 p.m. Mon-day in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jim Hamblin officiated. Burial followed in New Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers were Jason Holly, Lucas Campbell, Zachary Campbell, Chance Stowe, Mitch Eddington and Abi Holly.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Junior was born April 21, 1949, in Paducah, Ky., son of the late Lawrence Coleman Holly Sr. and the late Louise (Duncan) Holly.
He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 29 years of service. Junior was a lifelong mechanic and enjoyed tinkering. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a member of New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Holly of Troy; one daughter, Jackie Campbell and husband, Trent, of Gilbertsville, Ky.; two sons, Jason Holly of Troy and Josh Holly of Arlington, Va.; four sisters, Zula Craig of Frankfort, Ky., Mary Strong of Mayfield, Ky., Betty Foley and husband, Dee, of Wickliffe, Ky., and Marsha Collins of West Paducah, Ky.; one brother, Gregg Holly of West Paducah, Ky.; six grandchildren, Lucas Campbell (Krista) of Mayfield, Ky., Zachary Campbell of Hickory, Ky., Alex Eddington (Mitch) of Union City, Chance Stowe (Calli) of Troy and Abi Holly and Andy Holly, both of Arlington, Va.; and eight great-grandchildren, Liam Eddington, Lincoln Eddington, Chaselyn Stowe, Kynadi Burress, Lexi Eddington, Lynnleigh Stowe, Chloe Campbell and Conor Stowe.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Dalton Holly; and one sister, Peggy Sue Holly.
