Carline Turner

Carline Fuqua Turner passed away, Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 at 94 yrs. of age. She was an alumnus of the University of Tennessee at Martin and had a career as Reference Librarian at UTM until her retirement in 1980. She married a widower, David Turner, who was also a UTM alumni. She became another mother to three teenagers, Tina, Tab and Tony, and is dearly loved by her four grandchildren, who in time gave her 13 great-grandchildren. She lived her last six years with Tina and Keith Camp in Ben Wheeler, Texas. She kept up with childhood friends, was a special neighbor to the elderly and loved time spent playing games with sisters in Christ. She always made friends easily even when she and David moved to Conway, Arkansas for two years. She was especially loved by new friends made in the Teel church of Christ in Canton, Texas. She looked for a heavenly home and now rests from her labors. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway, Arkansas.
