Phyllis Menees

Phyllis Faulkner Menees, 76, of Hermitage, formerly of Obion County, died Sept. 9, 2024.
She was born Oct. 9, 1947, in South Fulton. She married Johnny Menees on Nov. 24, 1966. They lived in Union City for many years until Johnny’s job transferred the family to Nashville, where they lived until their final days.
Upon moving to Nashville, Mrs. Menees got a job at David Lipscomb University, where she worked until her retirement. She was a member of Mount Juliet Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Menees Rial, who lives in Sweetwater with her husband, Chad A. Rial, and their children, KJ, Axton, Ben, Rachel and Brittany; her son, John Menees, who lives in Mount Juliet with his wife, Mandy, and their daughter, Hannah; her brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Jean Faulkner of Union City, and their sons Jason and Jamey, wife Lisa and daughter Jordan; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Chris Menees of Woodland Mills.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Menees, with whom she enjoyed 43 years of marriage; her parents, Ben and Edith Faulkner; her father-in-law, Bill Menees; and her mother-in-law, Lucille A. Menees Davis.
