Betty Tinkle

Betty Ann Boone Tinkle was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on August 4, 2024, at the age of 69.
She was born to the late Benjamin Floyd Boone and Dorthy Ray Boone on September 30th, 1954, at the Memorial County Hospital in Jackson, TN. She grew up in West Tennessee and later moved to Murfreesboro, TN.
She is survived by her husband, Pat Tinkle; her two children, Adam (Alicia) Hughes and Cyndi (Chris) Bridgewater; her three grandchildren, Kaylee, Elisabeth, and Sophie; her brother, Ben (Anne) Boone; and sisters Becky (David) Overton and the late Joyce Boone who will miss her dearly. Betty was a faithful Christian who loved spending time with her family, painting, reading and going to the beach. She was a kind and generous soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her. We know she is happy to be with her loved ones in heaven.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2024, at the Martin First United Methodist Church (225 Main St., Martin, TN 38237) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with church service starting at 1:00 p.m. This will be followed by the burial at Stanley’s Chapel Cemetery (Stanley Chapel Church Rd., Union City, TN 38261).
