SCHOOL STOP

SCHOOL STOP — Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee visited the summer learning camp at Hillcrest Elementary School in Troy at mid-morning Thursday, getting down on the youngest kids’ level as he chatted with them and Hillcrest personal assistant Stacy Arnett in his first of several classroom stops. The purpose of the visit was to recognize teachers’ commitment to helping students sharpen critical learning skills. Lee stayed about an hour, also talking with teachers and administrators during that time, before heading to a school in Pegram for a similar visit.
