Shirley Gardner

Todd County Funeral Home in Elkton, Ky., is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Gardner. 
Mrs. Shirley Gardner, age 80, of Hornbeak, formerly of Allensville, Ky., passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her home.
Mrs. Gardner was born Dec. 18, 1943, in Logan County, Ky., daughter of the late Edgar and Laura Shemwell Whitescarver.
She was Baptist by faith, and loved her family, playing on her computer, flower gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harry Gardner; and one brother, Estill Whitescarver.
She is survived by one son, JV Gardner and wife, Timberly, of Hornbeak; three daughters, Kim Wheeler and husband, Robert Lee, of Russellville, Ky., and Lori Richards and husband, Cory, and Pebbles Case and husband, Ronnie, all of Hornbeak; one brother, Dean Whitescarver of Lewisburg, Ky.; one sister, Sandra Adler of Russellville; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the Gardner family was held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. in Rose Chapel at the funeral home, with Shane Hessey officiating. Interment followed at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery near Obion.
