Monica Cobaxin

Ms. Monica Cobaxin, age 20, of South Fulton passed away May 10, 2024, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City ER.
Monica was born in Laurel, Miss., on March 3, 2004, to Mrs. Janice “Cashon” Carr and Jeremiah Carr.
She was a member of Anointed Church of the Living God Church in Union City. Monica graduated from South Fulton High School in 2022 and had lived all of her life in this area.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Jamiah Carr of South Fulton; one half-brother, Arron James of Mississippi; maternal grandparents, Mrs. Diane (Steve) Reynolds of Palmersville and David Cashon of Dukedom; paternal grandmother, Rachel Carr; uncles, Tim (Jessica) Taylor of South Fulton and Michael Carr Jr. and (Shutera) of Union City; aunts, Jennifer (Brandon) Spain of Dresden and Mikeya Carr of Fulton; and great-grandmother, Ms. Mattie Cook of South Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Michael Carr Sr.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, with burial following in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. 
Visitation was held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service Saturday.
