Connie Scott
Connie Lynn Scott, 69, of Obion died on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her residence.
Born Sunday, April 17, 1955, in Lake County, she was the daughter of the late Connie Ray McCurdy and the late Mattie Bessie Blair McCurdy. Mrs. Scott was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Archie Larry. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Obion. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, May 1, 2024, at the funeral home.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James “Jim” Scott of Obion; two sons, David McCurdy of Obion and Jim D. Scott (Nicole) of Rives; one daughter, Misty Scott (Eddie) of Obion; one brother, Jerry Don McCurdy (Darlene) of Newbern; eight grandchildren, Tyler McCurdy, Dustin McCurdy, Logan Eaves, Mattie Chambers, Raven Baine, Domanic Scott, Aiden Scott and Levi Flemin; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy Dean, Hershel Dean, Robert Dean and Carlton McCurdy; and three sisters, Betty McCurdy, Linda Suppat and Brenda Canada.
Honoring Mrs. Scott as pallbearers will be Trevor Fuller, Jimmie Goodman, Jaxon Sawyer, J.D. McCurdy, Terry Whiteside and Ethan Hamm. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Nance and Billy Canada.
