Daniel Mires
Mr. Daniel Mires, age 56, of South Fulton passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City emergency room.
He was born on April 14, 1967, in Union City to the late Roy Mires and Martha Shelby Mires.
Daniel was a member of Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was currently working at Stanley Black & Decker in Martin as a bill of material coordinator. He was known by his friends as “Ruger” and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Daniel also wrote and published a book, “The Hunt.”
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tracey Sawyer Mires, whom he married June 30, 1990; a son, Dylan (Victoria) Mires of Paris, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Liv Mires of Paris, Tenn.; a sister, Diane Copeland of Union City; a brother, Dennis (Theresa) Mires of Union City; and a niece, Beth Copeland of Union City.
Memorial services were held at noon Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church in South Fulton. Visitation was at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service.
