GOD PROVIDES — Hillcrest kindergartner Adalynn Powers, daughter of Sabrina and Blake Powers, rubbed several of the animal pelts available at the recent Tennessee Environmental Council-sponsored Tree Day activities at Troy Community Center. Kimberly Greene Bugg of the Oneida Six Nations Reserve, who makes her home in the Reelfoot Lake area, said animals are among the things the Creator provided to His people. She said, “God gave us animals to eat” and “we give thanks to the Creator for providing,” adding they use all of the animal and do not waste. Students from Hillcrest also learned about trees and edible plants during the event.
