MIDDAY COLLISION — One driver sustained possible injury in a two-vehicle crash at midday Friday on East Reelfoot Avenue at Perkins Street in Union City. The crash happened about 11:55 a.m. when a silver 2014 Hyundai driven by a 16-year-old Martin driver collided with a black 2011 Lincoln compact utility vehicle driven by Emmalee Grace Foster, 20, of Union City. According to a Union City Police Department report, Ms. Foster was traveling west on East Reelfoot Avenue when the teen driver exited Perkins Street and entered into her path on East Reelfoot, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. The teen driver was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City and was later released, police reported. Neither the teen’s 13-year-old passenger nor Ms. Foster were injured. Police said the teen was cited for failure to yield the right of way. The Union City Fire Department was also on the scene to assist.
