Perry Allen “Pete” Carr, 64, of Martin died Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital in Martin. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Mr. Carr was employed at Tyson Foods in Union City. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Brown Carr of Martin; his children, Landon Joseph (Jody) Carr of McKenzie, Seth Allen Carr of Orlando, Florida, Ashleigh (Ed) Mealer of Sharon and Bonnie Malissa Carr of Memphis; two brothers, Van (Dianna) Carr of Sharon and Lee (Tonya) Carr of Germantown; one sister, Carla (Rodney) Duff of Sharon; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ted Carr and Martha Vandora Thompson Carr; and his step-mother, Barbara Carr. Online tributes may be left at murphyfuneralhome.net.
