John Rush

John Milton Rush, 77 of Martin died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at The Waters in Union City. A memorial service and Celebration of Life was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gardner Church of Christ with Bro. Sidney White officiating with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements. He was retired from the Weakley County Press from local delivery distributions and was a member of Gardner Church of Christ in Martin. Mr. Rush is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Plunk Rush of Martin; his son, Stephen (Britni) Rush of Greenbriar, Arkansas; three brothers, Kenny (Nancy) Rush and Ralph (Wanda) Rush, both of Huntingdon and Michael (Sandy) Rush of Jackson; two sisters, Susan (Dwight) Sanders and Jane Meggs, both of Huntingdon; and three grandchildren, Sydney, Carleigh and Asher Rush. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylon Rush and Mary Sue Gooch Rush. Online tributes may be left at murphyfuneralhome.net.
