Mrs. Watson was born on July 1, 1960, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Earl Kenneth Watson Sr. and the late Amelia Ann (Gay) Watson. She married Mr. Mark Christopher Flannigan on May 29, 1988. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2021.
She was a care taker for home health. Shelly was a bright light to her family, friends and community. A light that shined everywhere she went, determined to push every amount of darkness in exchange for her own brand of Christ-like love. As a caretaker and homemaker, Shelly routinely strived to live a life of service for others — passing along her infectious smile, love and compassion along the way. Shelly was the rock that kept her family strong and the glue that kept her family together.
She is survived by two daughters, Jasmine Watson of Trenton and Tylee Adams and her husband, Jason, of Union City; one son, Justice Walker and his wife, Hayley, of Trenton; nine grandchildren, Myles Watson, Bryce Watson, Amila Watson, Jaida Adams, India Watson, Jason Adams Jr., Anita Watson, Lynnette Adams and Tobias Walker; one great-grandchild, Zaire Watson; one sister, Felice Nunley and her husband, Lester, of Union City; one brother, Earl Kenneth Watson Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Ruthie Ramey.
