Raymond Wilbert II

Raymond Charles “Ray” Wilbert II, 87, of Union City passed away 5:59 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until noon Monday.
Ray was born March 25, 1936, in Oil City, Pa., son of the late Raymond Charles Wilbert Sr. and the late June (Short) Wilbert. He was raised in Las Vegas, Nev. Ray served two tours in Vietnam with the United States Army and retired after 26 years of service with the rank of Sergeant Major. He loved golfing and bowling. He did upholstery work and enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Cobb and husband, Marty, of Union City; one son, Michael Wilbert and wife, Shayla, of Reston, Va.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela Thorne.
