ON THE RUN
ON THE RUN — Young Simba (center, Carlisle Peery) runs from a stampede of Wildebeest (played by Willow Craddock, Chase Freeman, Walton Harder, Aniya Pete, Olivia Stephens and Dallas Wallace) during Masquerade Theatre’s production of Disney’s “The Lion King Jr.” The show is about the epic adventures of a curious lion cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king. It is being staged at the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City for a final weekend Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and is under the direction of Melanie Hollis, with musical direction from Allison Butner and choreography by Hunter Burton and Addison Kitchen. Tickets, which are $10 per person, are on sale now through Masquerade Theatre’s website at www.ucmasqueradetheatre.com, in person during normal business hours at the Obion County Public Library and at the door 30 minutes before showtime should any remain unsold.
