POLICE PLUNGE

POLICE PLUNGE — Caleb Hayden (center), a deputy with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office, was in the hot seat to take a dip in the chilly water of a dunking booth Saturday during the second annual Hornbeak Community Fall Fest at the city’s park on Glass Road. Fellow deputies and Hornbeak Police Chief Kent Treece (far left) were among those offering advice as he waited to be dunked at the hands of those pitching balls at a target. Other local officers who took their turns in the booth were (not pictured) Samburg Police Chief Chris Cummings, sheriff’s deputy and Black Oak school resource officer John Paul Arnett and Union City police Sgt. Brandon Adams. The festival was a huge success, with the community turning out to enjoy a full day of events and an evening concert by local band AC-43.
