DANGEROUS CURIOSITY — Young Simba (above, Carlisle Peery), encouraged by his Uncle Scar (Madix Turner), walks through the elephant graveyard where he and his best friend, the young lioness Nala (Nora Kate Keathley), encounter the ravenous hyenas, Shenzi (Rhealyn Laster), Banzai (Leighton Wilkey) and Ed (Elias Pierce). Scar soon sets in motion a plan to do away with Simba and Simba’s father, Mufasa, (Miloh Turner), so he can take over as king of the Pridelands. Audiences can see it all play out at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City this Friday and Saturday, as well as Oct. 20-21, at 7 p.m. and this Sunday and Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. as Masquerade Theatre presents Disney’s “The Lion King Jr.” Tickets, which are $10 per person, are on sale now through Masquerade Theatre’s website at www.ucmasqueradetheatre.com, in person during normal business hours at the Obion County Public Library and at the door 30 minutes before showtime should any remain unsold.
