Becky Smith
Rebecca June “Becky” Smith, 82, of Union City passed away 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Sandy Smith.
Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Pastor Tommy Hall will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Trae Smith, Daniel Smith, Alton Smith, Randy Connell, Richie Miller and Dudley Schleifer.
Becky was born Jan. 5, 1941, in Dyer County, daughter of the late John R. and Helen (Stafford) Sutton. She married Alvin Waco Smith Aug. 4, 1956. He preceded her in death Nov. 16, 2011.
Becky retired from Kohler after 36 years of service and attended Union City First Assembly of God.
She is survived by two sons, Tim Smith and wife, Sandy, of Union City and Alvin Smith of Rising City, Neb.; five grandchildren, Amy Schleifer and husband, Dudley, of Yorkville, Michael Smith and wife, Melissa, of Union City, Kim Duke and husband, JD, of Lincoln, Neb., Trae Smith and wife, Cecelia, of Norfolk, Neb., and Daniel Smith and wife, Emily, of Osceola, Neb.; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patsy Connell of Union City, Carolyn Morgan and husband, Royce, of South Fulton and Linda Holly of Olive Branch, Miss.; and one brother, Roland Sutton and wife, Donna, of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ollie Ruth Miller; and one brother, Johnny Sutton.
