Howard Harris

Howard Harris of Dukedom. passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Jackson Funeral Home with burial at Acree Cemetery. Howard was born on Aug. 4, 1925 in Weakley County to the late Dan Harris and Mae Ledbetter Harris. He was a retired postmaster, a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a veteran of the United States Marines, where he served in World War II and was a Mason. He had lived in the area all of his life. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Harris and Glen Harris, both of Dukedom; a sister, Martha Clarke of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
