Janette Scott

Mrs. Janette Fox Scott, 84, a resident of Troy, died Dec. 12, 2022, at Cane Creek Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Troy Church of Christ. Jerry Bates will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at White & Mahon Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Friday.
Burial will follow in Fox Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Guy, Kevin Dobbins, Jeff Nicks, Darrin Howard, Dylan Burney, Connor Smith and Jase Fox.
Mrs. Scott was born on Jan. 25, 1938, in Troy, to the late Herchel and Aileen (Luten) Vaughn. She was a seamstress for several years. On Aug. 11, 1956, she married Edd Lee Fox. He preceded her on Feb. 23, 1999. On July 28, 2000, she married Kenneth Scott. He preceded her on Sept. 25, 2020. She was a member of Troy Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Jana Phillips and husband, Dwight, of Rives and Joye Burney and husband, Bryan, of Hampstead, N.C.; five sons, Jeff Fox and wife, Linda, of Leland, N.C., Jason Fox and wife, Michele, of Jackson and Kenny Scott and wife, Patrice, of Cookeville, Mike Scott and wife, Laura, and Jerry Scott and wife, Betty, all of Troy; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Kenneth and Ray Vaughn.
