Maggie Jowers

Magdalene “Maggie” Jowers, 98, of Kenton passed away from this life on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday on Friday in the chapel of New Concord Baptist Church with Brother Shawn Allred officiating. Interment will follow in New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery near Kenton.
Maggie was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Lexington, the daughter of the late Leslie and Anna (Hayes) Maness. She sat with the elderly before retirement from Plastec as a factory worker. Maggie was the longest member of New Concord Baptist Church with 70 years.
She is survived by her four children, Carlene Meadows (Johnny), Dean Jowers (Regina), Danny Jowers and Kay Meadows; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Maggie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl D. Jowers; daughter, Annie Ruth Eddlemon; and nine siblings.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
