Mary Louise Simons Gossum, 94, of Fulton passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at The Waters in Union City.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1928, in Fulton, to the late Melbern Ellis “Butch” Simons and Gladys Boone Simons. Mary Louise was a member of Fulton First United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the prayer shawl ministry and was the church historian. She was also a member of the Fulton Genealogical Society and she was a Daughter of the American Revolution. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Mike (Janet) Gossum of Fulton and Pat Gossum of Fulton; five grandchildren, Sara (Marc) Johnson of Hinsdale, Ill., Natalie (Nick) Lyndon of Cincinnati, Michael (Kate) Gossum Jr. of Bowling Green, Ky., Nick Gossum of Las Vegas and Tara Gossum of Las Vegas; five great-grandchildren, Davis, Luke, and Charlotte Lyndon, all of Cincinnati, and Marshall and Stella Gossum of Bowling Green.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix M. Gossum Jr.
Funeral services were to be held at 1 p.m. today at Fulton First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Greenlea Cemetery.
Visitation was held at First United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services today.
