Lucille Griggs

Lucille Griggs, 89, of Rives passed away 1:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at AHC of Union City.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Burial followed in North Union Cemetery in Mason Hall.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers were James Griggs, Luke Griggs, Chris Sawyer, Matthew Murdock, Nicholas Mayfield and Steven Dooley.
Lucille was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Wardell, Mo., daughter of the late Elizabeth “Marie” (Crain) Harris. She married Fred Evan Griggs Dec. 5, 1952. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1994. Lucille was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Nettie Griggs of Rives, Lessie Mayfield (Billy Jr.) of Obion and Mary Murdock (Joe) of Kenton; three sons, Freddie Griggs (Mary) of Hobart, Ind., Luther Griggs (Wanda) of Kenton and Billy Griggs of Rives; two sisters, Martha Brinkley of Union City and Flora Quick of Princeton, Ky.; two brothers, Martin Goff of Portage, Ind., and John Goff of Union City; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Arthur B. and Lessie Crain; one son, Joe Griggs; three sisters, Peggy Corley, Stella Banks and Ruby Moran; and two brothers, Ray Goff and Mack Crain.
