Jack McCoy

Jack Franklin McCoy II, age 64, was ushered into the arms of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with myasthenia gravis and transverse myelitis. Jack entered the world in Huntington, West Virginia on November 15, 1957 as the adoring first child of surviving parents Jack and Marcella McCoy. Jack enjoyed his childhood and early adult years in Owosso, Michigan and attended Corunna High School, graduating in 1975. As a standout athlete in multiple sports, Jack’s true passion and team spirit came out as he represented his beloved Cavaliers on the basketball court. It always gave Jack such joy to see the pride on his parents faces during his games. After high school, Jack spent 15 years working as a Supervisor with Universal Electric Company in Owosso before relocating to northwest Tennessee in 1993, working in Operations Management until he retired in 2019 While in Tennessee, he met the love of his life, Sandy Baker. They shared a life together that was full of love, happiness, and fond memories. He loved going on trips and spending time with his family. He spent most of his time watching sports and talking sports to anyone that would listen. He enjoyed collecting his Hot Wheels cars and various other memorabilia. His love overflowed when his grandchildren were born. He loved being Papa Jack. Jack was a loving Husband and Father, caring Son, nurturing Grandfather, thoughtful friend and incredible big brother to his 3 siblings. Jack’s presence had a way of making gatherings more joyful, problems seem smaller, love feel more honest and life become richer. Along with his parents, Jack is survived by his loving wife Sandy of Martin, TN, Son, Ryan McCoy and his wife Lisa of Georgetown, KY, Daughter, Emily McCoy and Joey Petty of Tullahoma, TN, Stepson, Jake King and his wife Cassie of Milan, TN, Brother, Jim and his wife Judy of Dewitt, MI, Sister, Jenny Welty and her husband Kurt of Munith, MI, Brother John and his wife Bobbie of Owosso, MI, six grandchildren children, Lucille, Ruby, Avrie, Isabel, Isaiah and Issac, and many Nieces and Nephews, along with brother in law Randy Baker and wife Linda of Gleason, TN. A viewing will be held Williams Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Williams Funeral of in Greenfield, TN.
