Frances Stone

Frances Jane Stone, 86, of Memphis died July 7, 2022.
She was born April 15, 1936, in Woodland Mills.
Jane Stone is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wallace “Bud” Stone Jr.; their two children, Mark Stone of Bartlett and Jan Stone Mitchell (Greg) of Germantown; and their grandchildren, Lindsey Miller (Luke) of Nashville, Maggie (Nick) Thompson of Memphis and Paige Mitchell of Germantown.
Jane will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of family, sense of humor and caring for others, but most of all her love for Jesus. Her history of work mainly consisted of retail like Dottie’s Shoes, Haverty’s Furniture and Ganto’s Clothing. She also enjoyed helping with children in the nursery at Colonial Baptist Church and many youth trips. She always put other people’s needs before herself.
She was currently a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She was very involved with her Sunday school class. She loved spending time with family and friends when she could and was always entertaining others. She enjoyed fishing, going to estate sales and cooking and had a big love for caring for flowers and her garden.
A visitation for Frances will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 3 p.m. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 14, 2022, at noon at East View Cemetery, 1516 East Mathews St., Union City, TN 38261.
