Royce Aker

Royce Aker, 81, of Obion died Thursday, July 7, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Troy Church of Christ. Ron Newberry will officiate, with burial to follow in the Rosehill Cemetery in Obion.
Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday. Pallbearers will be Allen Jordan, Tony Henson, Gene Clark, Mike McCage, Kevin Dobbins and Jerry Ross.
He was born July 31, 1940, in Willisville, the son of the late Noah Vincent Aker and Alta Marie Newborn Sikes. He served as chief of police in Obion for several years and was a member of Troy Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Aker of Obion; two sons, Roy Vincent Aker Jr. of Obion and Thomas (Debbie) Aker of Obion; four daughters, Doris (Larry) Jesse of Lebanon, Beverly Edmondson of Obion, Carla (Curtis) Aaron of Troy and Traci (Bret) Taylor of Troy; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
