Stan Johnson, 63, of Kenton passed away 10 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Obion County Nursing Home. He was a former resident of Hickman, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Randy McClure will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation were held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of services today.
Pallbearers will be John Mudd, Dirk Burkeen, Connor White, Dennis Warner, Jared Warner and Terry Roncali.
Stan was born Feb. 13, 1959, in Hickman, son of the late Nathan “Junie” Johnson and the late Nancy (Kirk) Gilliam. He had been employed as a tow boat captain for Wepfer Marine. Stan enjoyed building miniature scale tow boats and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Krystal Johnson of Union City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Misty Hurley (Adam) of Bealeton, Va., and Amanda Garrigus (Brandon) of Panama City, Fla.; two sisters, Cherry Mudd of Hickman and Darla Rouse of Fancy Farm, Ky.; two stepsisters, Brenda Cole and Glenda Shell, both of Hickman; and six grandchildren, Jacob Hurley, Ethan Hurley, Levi Hurley, Garrett Brooks, Brooklyn Brooks and Adalyn Garrigus.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Zona Johnson; and one brother, Robert Earl Belt.
