Ben Tilghman

Benjamin Hull “Ben” Tilghman, 69, of Kenton died June 19, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City after a lengthy illness.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the hour of services on Wednesday.
He was born March 16, 1953, son of the late Corinne (Morson) Tilghman and the late Carl R. Tilghman Sr. He was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy and attended the former Memphis State University. He co-owned Tilghman Chevrolet in Kenton until 2003, where he held the status of ASE Master Tech. He was also an over-the-road truck driver for Taylor Express in Union City.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Thelma Brewer of Kenton; his sister, Missy (Tilghman) Callan of Friendswood, Texas; his nephews, Skip Tilghman of Union City, Todd Tilghman of Kenton and Christopher Callan of Friendswood; and his niece, Jennifer (Callan) Tappin of Friendswood.
He was also preceded in death by his son, B.J. Tilghman; and his brother, P.T. Tilghman.
