Calvin Wilson

Calvin Wayne Wilson, 64, of Hickman, Ky., died Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the church.
Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
Calvin Wayne Wilson was born Dec. 23, 1957, to the late L.B. Wilson and the late Lucy (Jones) Wilson in Hickman.
He became a deacon at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.B. and Lucy Wilson; stepmother, Sara Wilson; a brother, Casey Wilson; three sisters, Lois Jean Wilson, Mae Ola Crutchfield and Averil Jean Matthews; and a special niece, Maressa Twana Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife and soulmate of 43 years, Mrs. Shirley Wilson; two sons, Steve (Alisha) Wilson and Jarvis (Paulette) Wilson, all of Hickman; one daughter, April (LaShawn) Webster of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Brendan (Ronieka Blair) Wilson, Justus Wilson, Tristen Wilson, Jamya Clay, Mahogany Webster, Nyjha Webster and Chenise (Tommy) Nolan; eight great-grandchildren, Brendley Wilson, Avalynn Nolan, India Wilson, Kaysen Springfield, Kayden Wilson, Amiya Nolan, Rakiya Nolan and Zayleona Nolan; mother-in-law, Mary Poole of Hickman; 11 brothers, Charlie James (Yvette) Smith of Fulton, Henry (Georgia) Wilson, L.C. (Regina) Wilson and Raymond (Judy) Wilson, all of Rockford, Ill., Gregory (Mae) Wilson of Hickman, Raymon (Veronica) Kelly of Greenville, Miss., Wallace (Jodie) Haynes, Colorado Springs, Colo., Bryant (Thurma) Haynes of Gulfport, Miss., Leroy (Carolyn) Kelly of Ridgeland, Miss., and Calvin Kelly and Douglas Kelly, both of Rosedale, Miss.; three brothers-in-law, Roland Poole of Mayfield, Ky., Benjamin (Sabrina) Adams of South Fulton, James (Delrita) Adams of Paducah, Ky.; seven sisters, Ozella (Clarence) Gilbert of Hickman, Lucille (Dave) Thomas Louisville, Ky., Audrey (Melvin) Burgard of Paducah, Gertie (Michael) Martin of Antioch, TyShonda (Whayde) Wilson-Peddie of Clarksville, Deborah (Robert) Jones of Gulfport and Dondolyn Haynes of Cleveland, Miss.; one sister-in-law, Christine Wilson of Rockford; one aunt, Ann Byrd of Toledo, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
