Chris Taylor

Christopher C. “Chris” Taylor, 50, of Union City passed away 9:50 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home. He had been fighting cancer since Dec-ember 2021.
Graveside services were conducted 4 p.m. Sunday at Pounds-Idle-wild Cemetery in Idlewild. Brother Ben Lownsdale officiated.
Pallbearers were Ted Perry, Chad Odle, Brian Hale, David Lusk, Mark Coleman and David Eaves.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Chris was born Dec. 28, 1971, in Union City, son of Cloney and Joyce (Baker) Taylor of Union City. He married Chasity Rea (Eaves) Taylor. She survives. Chris enjoyed fishing, golf and antiquing. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City.
He is also survived by three children, Brittany Taylor of Union City and Benjamin Taylor and Carley Kate Taylor, both of Chattanooga; his granddaughter, Lauren Manus of Troy; his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Brad Boyd of Martin; and his niece, Chelsea Boyd of Oxford, Miss.
