William Green

William Gerald Green, 79, of Union City passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at The Waters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Bro. Terry Neil and Bro. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Wednesday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Green was born in East Prairie on Dec. 20, 1942, to the late William Turner and Alta Lorene Castleman Green. He married Betty Joyner Green on Oct. 13, 2007. She survives. He was retired from Kohler. Mr. Green was also the founder and organizer of the Roundhouse Reunion that was held at Reelfoot Lake annually for 30-plus years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, James Glenn Green of Union City; five grandchildren, Jack Logan Cord Hastings, Kristyn Shai Nicole Hastings, Kyndal Brooke Ashlyn Hastings, April Denise Brooks and William Patrick Brooks; one great-grandchild, Carson Bentley Levi Fulcher; one son-in-law, Richard Lee Brooks of Union City; and two sisters, Patricia Jowers and her husband, Jimmy, of Friendship and Devenda Summers of Union City.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by his first wife, Villa B. Williams Green; his daughter, Angela Faye Brooks; two brothers, J.W. and Dwight Green; and one sister, Wanda Nichols.
