James Garland

James M. Garland, 77, of Union City passed away 1:05 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto.
Memorial services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
James was born June 21, 1944, in Hickman, Ky., son of the late Wilma (Roberts) Rudicil. He married Wanda (Riley) Garland March 13, 1972. She survives.
He worked as a riverboat pilot for over 30 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is also survived by one son, Nick (Danielle) Garland of Rives; one daughter, Kim (David) Jeffrey of Paris; five grandchildren, Kara Ann Jeffrey, Tiffany (John) Westra, Adam (Rachel) Jeffrey, Caleb Garland and Kelsey Garland; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlotte Phipps of Hickman and Rose Marie (Ricky) Blincoe of Covington.
