Harold Huey

Harold Baker Huey, 89, of Troy passed away 12:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Brother William Matheny will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Eric Burkeen, T.J. Burkeen, Devon Burton, Mike McKinney, Jason Pickard and Charlie Guy.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Graves Chapel Church of God, 112 Luther Davis Road, Hornbeak, TN 38232 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Troy, son of the late W.G. (Mattie Klutts) Huey and Evie May (Baker) Huey. He married Jo Anne (McKinney) Huey July 11, 1954. She survives. He worked for the former Reelfoot Packing Company for over 30 years as a truck driver. He was a member of Graves Chapel Church of God near Troy and loved playing music at church and at nursing homes.
He is survived by one daughter, Lechia Taylor (Don) of Radnor, Pa.; one son, Terry Huey (Janice) of Troy; three grandchildren, Wendy Burton of Obion, Misty Townsend (Don) of Union City and Seth Taylor of Radnor; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ina B. Dyer and Imogene Chlebek; and two brothers, Wayne Huey and Herman Leroy “Pee Wee” Huey.
