Steve Carr
Steve P. Carr, 75, of Union City passed away 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Greg Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Culver, Brennan Barnett, Neal Carr, John Griffin, Darren Ray and Matthew Elston.
Steve was born April 28, 1946, in Portageville, Mo., son of the late Alfonso and Sadie Louise (Scott) Carr. He married Jo Ann (Goodman) Carr Feb. 26, 1971. She survives. Steve had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Co., the former Lenox Hearth Products and Walmart. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Roma and Bruce Culver and Crystal Carr, all of Union City; two granddaughters and the spouse of one, Lauren and Brennan Barnett and Lexi Culver all of Union City; one great-grandson, Braedon Barnett of Union City; six sisters and the spouses of two, Melba Shew of Clarksville, Shirley and Johnny Griffin of Antioch, Carolyn Carr of Union City, Sherry Baker of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Katherine and Steve Elston and Leisha Carr, all of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and four brothers and the spouses of three, James and Patricia Carr of Lawrenceville, Ga., Rex Carr of Dickson, Tom and Cheryl Carr of Burns and Neal and Susan Carr of Knoxville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Beckham; and two brothers, Jack Carr and Sam Carr.
