Bobbye Riley Lloyd, age 87, of Union City passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Graveside services were to be held at noon today in Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy. Dr. Vann Kissell was to officiate. Friends were asked to meet at the cemetery.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Mrs. Lloyd was born Dec. 17, 1933, to the late Frank C. and Natalie Ross Riley. She married James “Jimmy” Lloyd on May 14, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2016.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and taught for many years at Dyersburg City Schools.
Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her daughter, Linda Joan Lloyd of Troy; two sons, Leslie Lloyd and his wife, Lauri, of Bluffton, S.C., and Larry Lloyd and his wife, Michelle, of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren, Natalie Huebner and her husband, Karl, Heather Ferguson and her husband, Justin, Liesel Schneider and her husband, Micah, Melissa Santos and her husband, Dominic, Claire Mendoza and her husband, Juan, and Beth Legant and her husband, Kyle; 11 great-grandchildren, Caroline and Cole Riley Huebner, Mary Lloyd, Vivianne and Emeline Ferguson, August and James Jackson Schneider, Lucas James and Caleb Anthony Santos and Ben Arthur and Killian Jeremiah Legant; and two sisters, Frankie Riley Rinehart and Billie Riley Hendrix, both of Mississippi.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Riley; her great-granddaughter, Aimee Joy Huebner; and her niece, Virginia Leigh Rinehart.
