Wanda Ford Barr

Mrs. Wanda Ford Barr, 70, a resident of Union City, died Nov. 17, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Miss..
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak. Brother Darrell Hoffman will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Owens, Michael Owens, Brian Owens, Justin Owens Paul Hunt and Sam Robey.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barr was born Oct. 22, 1951, in Plymouth, MIich., to the late Robert Johnson Owens and Noville (Eason) Owens Higgins. On Aug. 16, 1995, she married William “Bill” Barr. He survives.
She was an Obion County Central High School graduate in the class of 1969. Mrs. Wanda was a Front End Associate for E.W. James & Sons in Union City. She loved being outside gardening, loved animals, working with the public and being a Grandma.
She is also survived by a daughter, Chasity (Kevin) Johnson of Corinth, Miss.; two sons, Chris Ford of Union City and John T. (Arrah) Ford of Maryville; five grandchildren, Knoxlee Johnson of Corinth, John Chevy Ford of Maryville and Ari, Remi and Harley Ford, all of Maryville; a sister, Cheryl Merrell of Lexington, S.C.; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Owens of Troy and Carol Owens of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Ray Owens, James Milton Owens, and Robert Danny Owens.
