Nancy Halterman

Nancy Marie Halterman, 85, of Nashville, formerly of Old Hickory, passed away on Nov. 11, 2021 in Carthage.
Nancy was born Sept. 6, 1936, in Hickman, Ky., to the late Ethridge William James and Maggie Bonnie Bruce. She was an owner operator of a grocery store. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles “Bud” Halterman; and her brothers and sister, Billy Joe James, David James and Wanda Naylor. She is survived by her children, Charles William (Elaine) Halterman of Jacksonville, Fla., Joseph Michael Halterman of Nashville, Wayne Todd Halterman and his husband, Timothy Harkum, of Nashville and Bonnie Marie Halterman Stroupe of Nashville; her granddaughters, Brandie (Jason) Kral of Jacksonville and Sadie Stroupe and Maggie Stroupe, both of Nashville; her great-grandsons, Braiden Kral and Charlie Kral, both of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Family and friends gathered Sunday from 1-2 p.m. for a Celebration of Life service at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Alive Hospice or the charity of your choice.
