Jackie Childress

Jackie Childress, 69, of Samburg passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at Reelfoot Manor in Tiptonville.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today, Aug. 20, in Terrace Hill Cemetery. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Jackie was born in Obion County on Dec. 22, 1951, to the late Henry “Slim” and Louise Taylor Childress. He was married to the late Kathleen Childress. Mr. Jackie was a 1970 graduate of Obion County High School. He worked for the TWRA for 33 years and was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.
Mr. Jackie is survived by one niece, Lisa Childress; three stepchildren, Michael Adair, Jimmy Adair and Maryjane Adair Lovell; eight grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Brian Johnson, Zac Johnson, Cody Adair, Kaci Adair Wilson, Anna Brooke Adair, Payton Adair and Brandon Adair; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Jackie was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Childress; his sister, Glendine Childress; and his granddaughter, Ashley Johnson.
