8.18.21 — The service set for Mrs. Jackie Dodd Watkins has been postponed until a later date to be announced by White-Ranson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jackie Dodd Watkins, 69, a resident of Covington, died Aug. 13, 2021, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The Rev. Justin Hiens will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackie was born on Sept. 21, 1951, in Union City, to the late James Roland and Martha Juanita (Horn) Scribner.
She worked as a LPN for numerous years. In 1981, she married Dr. Halbert B Dodd II. He passed away Dec. 4, 2015. On April 12, 2017, she married Michael Watkins. He survives. She was a member of Crosswind Church.
She is also survived by four daughters, Heather Dodd of Nashville, Jennifer Barnes of Latham, Samantha (Jonathan) Witherington of Sidonia and Olivia (Matt) Riley of Union City; three sons, H.B (Brooke) Dodd of Martin and Mickey and Logan Watkins, both of Covington; 13 grandchildren, Tanner Earls of Nashville, Buskin, Ayla and Kasota Barnes, all of Martin, Jake Green, Franklin and Grayson Witherington, all of Sidonia, Averi and Boston Riley, both of Union City, Griffin and Hallie Dodd of Martin and Michael and Haley Watkins of Covington; and one great-grandchild, Brodie Joel Parrish Jr. of Martin.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Yates Roland Scribner.
